Fort Nisqually Living History Museum

The “Men’s Dwelling” at Fort Nisqually, operated by the City of Tacoma, is a replica of a cabin from the 1850’s – when the Hudson’s Bay Company operated a thriving trading post on this site. Museum management requested a store analysis and makeover to create a more welcoming and customer friendly entryway to the historic fort and increase revenue.

We revised customer pathways, developed areas of visual emphasis to highlight the Fort’s history, emphasizing the unique features such as a handcrafted stone fireplace and period colors. Results are open pathways, enticing product displays, happier visitors, and increased income for museum programs.

Thank you for your good work – such a wonderful example of creative thinking and retail know how. The shop looks 100% better. We appreciate your ongoing guidance, close involvement and careful follow up. You’ve really stepped up our game.
