We have been incredibly fortunate to have your experience, insight and guidance throughout this project.
Your expertise in every phase of the shop’s creation—design, merchandising, branding, volunteer recruitment—brought
the project to fruition. Throughout the myriad of challenges you maintained patience and professionalism. You have
an uncanny ability to work well with all people—the OMA architectural team, the Friends’ board, the Seattle
Public Library staff. Throughout the design process, the negotiations with the architects, all the delays and
unforeseen side tracks, you always managed to balance the criteria for a successful shop with the needs of the Friends.
You skillfully dealt with every dilemma with grace, good humor and a fresh solution. The Friends of the Library extend
our deepest appreciation for your outstanding contribution to making the FriendShop an exciting reality.

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Miriam Works. As I am sure you will glean from her resume, she is a talented
individual who sets high standards and achieves them. She takes pride in all she does and therefore does it well. The Overlake Hospital
Medical Center Gift Gallery is a well established gift shop serving patients, visitors and staff, with all proceeds earmarked for vital
hospital programs. Until recently it was under the direction of Overlake Hospital Auxiliaries and run by volunteer staff. When the Gift
Gallery faced the loss of its skilled volunteer management team, Miriam guided the Gallery through a challenging but ultimately positive
and very successful transition. Miriam developed an updated buying and merchandising approach, a budget system to control costs and inventory,
a new management model, facilitating the hiring and training of a new management team, improved communication between Gallery management
and the Auxiliary and a supportive atmosphere for the Gallery’s valuable volunteer staff. Miriam was a helpful force for change during a
time of major transition. She would be an asset to any organization.

I recently opened Marqsmen in Bellevue Square, just outside Seattle, WA. Throughout the course of my pre-opening phase,
Ms. Miriam Works provided merchandising and general business consulting in the areas of open to buy development, merchandise selection and procurement,
policies and procedures and concept development. She went beyond what was required to ensure that the transition to a fully operational retail store
was as smooth as possible. This included working with our recently hired full time store manager to ensure that all knowledge about my business and its
needs was passed on appropriately. Throughout the process, Ms. Works enthusiastically engaged me in thought provoking conversation about my business
direction and development. I believe her to be an asset to any team and without a doubt a significant contributor to the success I have experienced
in this business venture. I recommend her without any reservation.

Rosanna Inc is a successful and widely recognized wholesale design business offering unique table ware for more than
twenty years. When opening our flagship boutique in University Village in Seattle, we knew it was important to work with a consultant who was well
versed in retail store set up and operations. We needed someone who understood our priorities: a personal approach to each unique customer, an
impeccable design environment and flawless operations. Miriam Works facilitated the opening of our new store, assisting in a variety of ways.
She provided a comprehensive project schedule, coordinated meetings between our architectural designers and University Village management, hired
and trained our staff and developed cohesive policies and procedures for staff and operations. On all occasions Miriam worked cooperatively with
our office and warehouse staff and design team and collaborated closely with company owners. Miriam provided invaluable assistance in the launch
of our successful new store. We consider her part of Rosanna’s team and would not hesitate to contact her for retail consulting in the future.
